CR Treatment and Tuning---The home stretch!!

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

I'm wondering what type of acoustic response a cat has? :) It seems like the cat is going to be a regular fixture in your studio, so perhaps you should include the "feline frequency factor"? :)

Hi Stuart,

I keep forgetting to mention the gap issue. Not sure what needs to be done here. Caulking will make a mess against the fabric and can't be done for testing anyway.

I'd suggest gluing a thin, soft rubber strip to the front of the ribs, and screwing the slats into that. It only needs to be about 5 or 6mm thick (about 1/4"). The maximum gap is about 3mm, so with a 6mm strip as long as you can compress it to 3mm, you'd be fine. Maybe the type of weatherstrip rubber you can buy at Home Depot for sealing around doors and windows.

I was thinking about something like that that's a good idea... weatherstripping would be no problem at all..

I'll get back to you in just a bit about your latest update. Looks great at first glance!

Back at ti again. Sorry for the long break!

Doing some testing with Stuart to make sure that I have it right before I commit to closing things up.

As soon as Stuart verifies the tests, I'll finish this up. Can't wait....

I didn't see any e-mail from the last couple of days, Frank: please send again... Might have been a server glitch... software was updated recently...

OK,

Almost got there today, with just some end seal issues to sort out tomorrow before I test. I certainly tried!! :horse: Not quite the right emoji but it fits the feeling I'm having right now....
