Advice needed on reducing external rumble entering studio.

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

"pure genius!" - Thanks, every once in a while I do come up with things that surprise me :? I just thought that you might be able to work out a good deal, since they'd already be there blocking up other openings -

Here's another - when it comes time to remove the plugged doorway, there's an even cheaper way - rent a truck, be sure and get the extra insurance, drive it THROUGH the wall/door, (be sure to get a truck with good seat belts and air bags) - then, just say "oops", and clean up the mess - quick, simple, cheap, DUMB (yes, I WAS kidding - :twisted: )

Back to serious mode - if/when you decide to go with this space, I'll help you figure out wall combinations that won't pass those bus noises; so, just in case something happens to the pix you posted, be sure to keep copies of your spectral plots. This won't be any more expensive to build, just some changes in dimensions within walls mainly... Steve
