about how big should the cloud be...should I angle it?
These are Johns latest drawings, do you have any suggestions for the traps?

The cloud should be at least 4' x 6', centered halfway between speakers and your head - there's not really enough headroom to worry about sloping the cloud, I'd just space it 2-3 inches off the ceiling.
The front trap, opposite the window, should be a slat resonator to match the acoustic brightness of the window on the left - I'll have to think about parameters on that a bit.
The rear traps should be as much rigid fiberglass as you can fit in, and as deep as you have room for - in other words, just broadband absorption. you can cover with cloth.
The good news is, you won't have any serious modal problems with those dimensions so no special tuned traps needed - the slat resonator would just be to keep that side of the room as bright as the other side, maybe fill it completely with fiberglas to smooth out the response... Steve
