Help with WILD live room acoustics!

well, the ceilings are two layers of 5/8 sheetrock,hung on RC. walls are sheetrock, on steel studs. All has rockwool behind it.
For now, the floor is bare concrete. We had carpet down for a while temporarilly and that cut down the reflections pretty significantly.
I was thinking about pergo, but I'm afraid I'll never be able to control the room. The biggest problem is that the ceilings are so low ( basement, two layers ofsheetrock, hung on the RC) that I don't feel I can afford to put anything else on them. I haven't yet put any kind of absorbers etc on the walls..
