.
Has anyone listened to Acoustic Energy AE22's.
As I was wondering how they faired as hi-fi styled NS10 type of monitors to mix on.
.
While using more detailed monitors to record with.

Sound on sound article on the Acoustic Energy AE22.
.
These speakers may be worth considering for near field mixing,
they do not offer the flattest frequency response as perhaps other high quality reference monitors,
but that is the point really.
.
Their purpose is to replicate the average hi-fi monitoring system, rather than a top pro recording studio's expensive high quality detailed monitoring system.
.
They come in passive and active versions,
which is handy for people like myself who wish to flush mount the monitors but who are restricted to wall width/space and who do not have the space to build ventilation cooler ports in the walls.
