so, as im nearing the completion of my "studio" im now starting to think about acoustics and monitors.
my budget for monitors will be £400 max. i was thinking of getting something like the m-audio bx8a as the freq. range goes down to 40hz but im not to sure if they really would go down that low without distorting. im now thinking about getting a sub-woofer to compliment some nearfields. the krk rokits + sub look good, but maybe a bit expensive.
again, any advice/recommendations grateful!
cheers
nearfield monitors (+ sub woofers)?

How big is your room? Depending on the size of the room, and the amount of low end absorption will have a huge impact on your monitoring.

...been a while since ive been here!
im in a single car garage. ive got yamaha msp5's. not gonna bother with a sub just yet.
ive got corner traps behind the speakers and 2 wall absorbers each side of me. sounds fine to my tinnitus afflicted ears! lol
