For anyone trying to sourse materials in ireland Chadwicks stock these channels and they are called resilient bars, RB-1. they do a version RB-2 for ceiling installation so as to support heavier loads. They are made by gyproc and retail at €4.27 per 3 meter lenght.
gyproc also do a sound sealent stocked by Chadwicks. Standard plasterboard 12mm retails for €8.80 per 8 4 sheet @ Chadwicks.
For all your ridgid insulation and regular stuuf visit www.insulationdistributors.ie
They have a pretty decent site where you can identify exactly the product you need.
I will continue this thread as my build continues
