how do i attach xlr boxes to the wall?

we're surface mouting our xlr boxes in our live room. what is the best way to attach them to the drywall? should i put something between the box and the wall? any help would be great!

Don't know about attaching them to the wall but Len Morgan made a nice job by having his freestanding.

Is it a connector plate or something like a stage box?
