Neoprene AND GAF rolls?

Hi,
I picked up GAF Tri-ply rubber roofing rolls as an alternative to the very expensive Sheetblok (thanks for the tip Giles) and cleared my floors so the original wooden floor is exposed. It's not a real solid floor underneath (old wood structure) and was thinking about getting neoprene pads to float the floor and use the GAF rolls to cover the floor framing (and mineral wool), then cover that with 3/8" flooring. Is this overkill?
I've looked at the links for buying neoprene...Are there no local dealers that carry this stuff?(MN) It seems that I would have to order it from NJ or CA or somewhere else. Any current feedback on this?
I found a dealer in the Twin Cities area for Thermafiber and Grabber 1 qt. tubes of Acoustic sealant. Home Depot provided the GAF rolls...

If I can get some neoprene pads I'm going to run a PVC pipe/or similar (wrapped in rubber) under the Iso booth's floating floor, then under the control room's floating floor and up into a recessed floor jack...think it's reasonable?

Try local industrial suppliers for neoprene gasketing material - not a lot of them will talk to private buyers, but you may find one or two. Some people have had success using horse trailer mats - I've got a couple that are about 1" thick. Thinner would be better, around 1/2" is best for floating a floor, 1/4" for resting ceiling joists on framing caps.

Be careful running conduits between rooms, you can end up with noticeable flanking noise unless you do several bends, and stuff the ends with insulation after the wires are in... Steve
