Ok heres the plan:

21' x 12'(maybe13') x 8' rising to 10'

the roof will be slope front to back but will be false fabric covered with either hangers or 2x2"rockwool behind it

front wall will be treated with two corner bass traps floor to wall as large as i can make them.
it will have a translucent block section as well to allow natrual light

rear wall will have two corner Helmholtz Slat resonators with a diffuser in the middel maybe a bass trap behind it(?)

side walls im still not sure about suppose someting to stop the standing waves and flutter echo(?)

floor will be all hard wood.

Now am i a mile of here ? cause i think this is ok
the room is mainly for mastering so not to bright not to dead
i know it should be bigger but this is all i can do.

or should i go for a lede which might suit mastering more???

So, what you advise is a 'light weigth' false ceiling???
What if I use drywall/gypsen material (a common ceiling, also fire resisting!)
And you talk about a cloth ceiling, what is the effect on the accoustic??
Does mass count in this case?? or is the diffusion importend here?

ro - in this case Bryan is talking about putting in a ceiling of either hangers or thick rockwool - the cloth cover is purely just to hide it in a neat way.

If you put a plywood backing on the frames you can create a false ceiling that also has a reflective surface (The panel on the back) that can break up floor to ceiling standing waves.

Like this - the depth I've drawn as 1" but it would normally be made with a 4" x 2" frame.
