Hammond Solovox

Post by Eggman »

Just checking because I look at the JLS forums a couple of times each day and figured I might as well ask about this here.

I bought a Hammond Solovox on ebay and the keyboard got trashed by UPS during shipping. The tone cabinet seems to be intact. I need another keyboard unit for parts. Mine is Model K series B, but I think any Solovox keyboard will do as I just neeed it for parts.

For anyone who doesn't know what a Solovox is, it might be the origional synth from the early 1940's. The sound is similar to the solo on "Runaway" by Del Shannon or the strange sounding instrument on the Beatle's "Baby You're a Rich Man" (actually a Clavoline, but similar sounding)

Anyway, if anyone knows of a source for parts or has one that they want to get rid of let me know.

Thanks

Doug
