I have a Yamaha motif es8 that is moderately heavy, needing a good support. It needs to fit in with a computer keyboard and monitor, and have my speakers underneath (not at ear level - too much sound for daily rehearsals).
Yamaha motif es8:

My Needs:
1. adjustable height so keys are at same level as acoustic piano
2. allows a computer keyboard to fold up from down under, center
3. computer monitor in back, not necessarily on bench with es8
4. solid ... no wobbles like a Quik Lok QLX21 that I already have. Maybe the style of a Quik Lok WS-550 ("DJ" Coffin).

5. Need to support the es8 unit evenly underneath ... otherwise, mild warping may be throwing off the weighted hammer action of the keys.
6. easily moved around a studio. Not necessary to take it on the road. Good integration with other studio furniture.
Prefer homemade designs, that are modular in concept, so I might try different floor plans in the studio.

It's not homemade and it's not cheap, but check out the Dual 15K from Argosy Console:

Pretty 'n slick.
I'll probably incorporate some of their design elements in mine ...
In between rehearsals, maybe I should just cruise around this Forum, and view some member's pics ...
Got some favorites?
