Atlantan needs help.

Hey.. so i just moved into a basement and i have a room with a kitchen attached and i was wondering what would be the best direction to take this: whether to close it up or just leave it open. ITs not a busy place so to much noise wont be a problem. Refrig isnt being used.

Im wondering if i leave it open, is there any necessary treatment on the back? I have 4 4x8 absorbers does placement matter? i know i need to build bass trap... how should i start the project.
