Construction cost per square foot

Find out where to get building materials in your local area. If you find a good outlet post it and others will be able to access it through the search engine.

Construction cost per square foot

Post by briandelizza »

Hello all,

First let me introduce myself to your wonderful community. To keep it concise my name is Brian, I make music, I have a degree in recording arts, and I plan on opening a studio once I get my bachelors in business. I'm really glad I found this site, it's awesome and I plan on spending lot's of time here. :D

Now for my first question. I am trying to figure out some start up costs and I am wondering, how much does the average facility cost per square foot for construction costs?

I know it varies, but I am just looking to get some rough figures so I can get this business plan started.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)

As specific as your question is, do it yourself can be as low as $50/sqaure foot. Commercial up to who knows what depending on your finishes.

Thanks Andre,

It's going to be commercially done to pretty high standards, so I am expecting it to be more than that. Do you think it would be safe to say it could easily up to 150-200 per square foot? I would rather overestimate than underestimate this one....

We try and be as helpful as possible. We do not even know what part of the world you are in!

Please read and answer the questions in this and if you want to have more than a cursory response, go into the STUDIO DESIGN area with your query!

Have a look at this thread for an idea of what information is required. Note this thead is starting with a premade shell!

Looking forward to answering your questions:
