Layout Opinions

Post by simonstav »

Looking for layout opinions for this space which is 9 x 13 metres. I've gone over a number of possibilities and have come up with this as the best. It is all new construction, the only fixures are the stairwell and the windows.

This is just a layout, geometry will come next. The booths would have sliding glass doors to the recording room allowing natural light to fill all rooms.

Regard Simon

It is a nice layout.

I would shrink the control room by one meter wide.

Making it 6l x 5w

I am sure john has some great vision on the way. :)

You're right, but the dimensions aren't the biggest decision right now, it the layout of the room. The dimensions will change once we start getting angles on the walls.

Welcome to the site Simon:)

I agree - it's a good layout, and I agree with Bryan about the control room size but, as you say - it'll change with the angled walls.

Entry to control room via doors between the speakers??

cheers
john
