Hello,
I'd really appreciate some advice. Recently I've been asked by a friend to help him get together a good idea of equipment he'd need for a post production 5.1 studio for film. I'm no studio designer, and whilst I'm sure that whichever company he hires to handle the acoustic design and construction will have lots of speaker recommendations he'd rather have an idea of what to expect before hand. My own home setup just uses Genelec 1030's so I haven't a clue what to recommend.
Currently we're looking at basing the studio around a G5 with a Digidesign ICON D-Control desk, to give you a rough idea of the level he's aiming at. As yet we have no building but a converted floor of a warehouse looks like the likely option for the company so the room will be sizable. I liked the sound of some Dynaudio speakers I heard in another post production facility but I'm not sure what I'd need to go for.
Any recommendations?!
Selecting speakers for 5.1 post studio
