Good adiophile forums?

Get your "what mic?" frustration or "have you heard" out here. The language could get real okka in here mate.

Good adiophile forums?

Post by Nineteen Billion »

ASIDE from this one, haha. Preferably ones that don't involve the recording/studio construction side of things. A pal of mine is looking into making his home stereo a serious hobby and I want to find some cool audiophile forums for him to lurk around. Where do all the mastering engineers hang out (kidding... sort of)???

Quick test - would your friend consider buying either of these?

knob

cable

If so, look for audiophile sites...
Soooo, when a Musician dies, do they hear the white noise at the end of the tunnel??!? Hmmmm...

HOLY SHIT. Are those for real? That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of with regards to audio. I'm dumbfounded.

"Good Audiophile", isn't that an oxymoron?

Okay, sorry, I'll quit editorializing now. I've found the following three to be at least populated by articulate, well-read, and passionate posters. Irrespective of whether you agree or disagree with the content of their posts, they will if nothing else make you think:

Audioholics (http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/index.php)
Audio Asylum (http://www.audioasylum.com/index.html)
rec.audio.high-end (http://groups-beta.google.com/group/rec ... -end?hl=en)
