help with studio distribution

Post by jtvrdy »

Hi to all, this my first post here.... 8)

any idea about studio distribution will be welcome,I need one control room, one studio room and a toilet, all measures are in meters and for reference Tascam M700 console is pictured in blue,on the left the triangular form is a 20m2 terrace,to access through a sliding door in the midle of left wall, all windows are also sliding.

PD:I have some photos if somebody is interested.

thanks john,
I will prefer one bigger studio instead of 3 rooms, the control room is ok but the entrance door need to be double and I can't put nothing outside it must be inside also the toiled door is imposible to do from the outside.
I will try to draw my idea....

thanks, good but.... I want to respect the windows to have natural light , for the control room I think that is not good idea have the windows in front of the speakers also I need to access to the windows in order to could up and down the blind, for this reason you can see in my first idea a space between the windows and the rooms.
here some photos...

well Joseph - how much space is there above the drop ceiling - looks like you could have a decent ceiling height when it's removed??

The geometry of your control room needs some work but basically it should be a nice studio.

I am not sure... in the midle of the 13 m aprox 3.90m(2.40+1.50) and on the extremes 2.90m(2.40+0.50)

Yeah 3.9m is a cool ceiling height. I am assuming you are going to pull the drop ceiling out and start again with all your studio walls going up to full height??
hey Josep - which one is you in the photos :)

in the cotrol room the heigh will go from 2.4 (front) 2.9 back, and in the studio room 2.4 on the left and 3.5 on the right

I'm on the left with the crossed arms :D
