CEILING ABOVE CONTROL WINDOW AND CONTROL BOARD

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

CEILING ABOVE CONTROL WINDOW AND CONTROL BOARD

Post by Praxam »

Okay I'm a little confused on something that hopefull someone can clear up for me. Above the control room window(about where the console will sit)does the ceiling need to be angled and does it have to have some type of a slot resonator construction or can it just be an angled pitch that is sheetrocked ?

Thanks for you reply, please excuse any spelling errors :D

With low ceilings, you'll probably want to put some type of absorption. Also, angle the ceiling; low in front and angle up towards the rear or listening position.
