Will this work as insulation?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Will this work as insulation?

I'm deciding upon what type of insulation to use between my studs and joists. I'm looking to have a sound proof booth. I have a friend who referred me to this site:

Will this VComp and LComp material work for what I'm looking for, or should I stick with 2" Rockwool between my studs and joists?

I would stick with Rockwool, that other stuff is over $4 per square foot and not thick enough. For floors and walls, you want a slight overfill of the cavities; especially on floors. Too much and you'll decrease isolation by coupling too firmly between inner and outer panels - too little, and you won't get damping that's required to keep things from "ringing"... Steve
