New space - studio in Athens

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

definitely an improvement! nice work overall!

yeah, tuned treatment typically aren't very large compared to the wavelengths involved since their concept is to resonate at the target frequency but then are severely damped to effectively burn off that energy. so a number of smaller tuned treatments placed around the room are often very effective. however, it's takes a lot of work (and often re-work) to successfully build and place them.

tuned treatments are pretty much a last resort when the broadband treatments are in need of some help on select few problem frequencies/room locations.

Thank you for your kind words!!

I agree with everything you said. True for me was the last resort. And hopefully the rest of the treatment will have some impact too..

So change of plans..
Ceiling clouds and corner traps (bin bags) removed.
Will make the whole ceiling absorptive and hide the HVAC exhaust air path inside the false ceiling.
Will also add some tuned limp mass bass absorbers on key points.

Ceiling's membrane traps:

Hi Scott, thank you very much!

Hehe yeah it sure does though it's 4 meters (13feet).

It's cool for its properties and the fewer problems that introduces.
But it's been a struggle for me building things and working up there.
If you re doing it yourself as I do, there's a lot up and downs on the ladder and scaffolding..

But I am almost there :)
