Basement studio/drum room advice needed

Plans and things, layout, style, where do I put my near-fields etc.

this will work - consider also duct liner around the bottom edge (top of the inner ceiling drywall) like a gasket then caulking. the small gap between MDF and drywall once sealed should be fine. the wrapping the air path like shown will help decouple as opposed to simply having a hard box attached.

Ok, that's good info. I'll draw up the updated design with real dimensions and post for further review. Getting closer!

Since I have a long run to work with, I though I'd try a 2 box duct, one one each left. The left side is attached to the outer leaf (joists), the right box is decoupled. Small duct between them is decoupled from the outer box. Thoughts on this design?

i'm assuming the connecting tube between them is the wall boundary between rooms? example from a previous studio build: top unit is silencer from outside, through sealed penetration spaces, into in-room plenum.

No, they are both in the joist cavity above the room. I can't do anything outside the room as the main furnace trunk runs along the ceiling outside the room, and that is a rec room space (untouchable space-wise).
