Basic acoustic treatment... AND BEYOND!

I’ve heard to avoid having your monitor height halfway between the floor and ceiling which makes sense since halfway is the danger zone in length and width as well. When that say halfway, are they referring to the tweeter? Driver? Between tweeter and driver? I got materials today to start building my stands but since I only have 6’5” (1.95m) from floor to ceiling, I feel like small moves are going to have a more dramatic impact than if I had a taller room.
