Where to put faced insulation?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Thanks Paul.

What do you think of a 65% polyester and 35% cotton fabric? It has a tight weave, is breathable, strong, and stretches well.

Sounds very good to me, I'm currently looking for some fabric as well, care to share what you've found? :D

I like the 65% poly / 35% cotton stuff and also like the looks of some thin denim looking material i saw. Would be interested in the guru's on the forum opinions of using a tighter knit fabric (cutting down the "breathability") as something that would just be turning the fabric into more a mid and higher range freq reflector, similar to leaving the foil on insulation???? Seems like if low end goes through the foil it would go through the tight fabric and that might help keep the room a bit more alive if needed?
