K-type (4731) Seal Material for Superdoor Still Available

Post by Wayne Rose »

- FYI for those installing custom seals for Rod Gervais' Superdoor or any similar heavy door-

There have been a number of posts, here and on other forums, questioning whether the K-type rubber (EPDM) gasket material is still available. Good news! It is.

As of August 24, 2015 the K-type Gasket Material, listed as "4731 EPDM Door Flange Weatherstrip GM 1954-53" is still available from:

Facca Fasteners
703 Exeter Road
London, ON
Canada N6E 1L3

Tel: 1-519-681-5931
eMail: sales@faccafasteners.com

Facca is an excellent supplier, quick to respond to any questions, and flexible in terms of shipping arrangements.

Cheers! :D

Moderator: It might be worth making this a sticky, as this gasket material is hard to get. Facca tells me it's very popular, so they try to ensure it's kept in stock.

Just wanted to say that Facca still has 4731 available! I just ordered a bunch.

It appears that you've made the mistake most people do. You started building without consulting this forum.

I also wanted to share a Sketchup model that I built of the 4731 rubber to assist everyone in the design and application of their seals.
