Caulk/Sealant for Floor Plates

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Caulk/Sealant for Floor Plates

Post by howiedrum »

Hi folks. Would these sealants be ok for under the floor plates of my exterior wall? If so is one better than the other? I have some Sika Flex on order but it's going to take a while to get and the builder wants to put up the walls soon. These two products are available locally. Thanks!

Do some tests yourself. See if they shrink or crack after curing. You want it to remain flexible with no shrinking/cracking. If both seem to work good, buy and use the cheaper one.
