This is actually the OP Resurrecting this little project. I ended up getting back on track after a year hiatus from music. So yeah still dealing with the "Cube". I have changed the orientation of the desk to be facing the window and have opened up the closet as was a suggestion. Wondering what type of acoustic treatment. I did pickup one of the recommended books so doing my due diligence.

Also, can you upload a some images of the room as you have it now? I'm not sure how exactly you opened up the closet. Heck, maybe post some real life pictures?
