We have a glass wool product down under called "Noise Control BlockTM"
It retails at about 50% the price of 75mm rockwool and as you can see in the spec is actually 25mm thicker. It has an "R" rating of 2.3. Would this be OK to use in replace of rockwool in my wall/ceiling cavaties. It would really make a difference to my studios cost.
Noise Control BlockTM
1140x580mm size sheets
100mm thick
20 peices per bale
13.22 m2 coverage per bale at 100mm thick
2.3 "R" rating
Thanks again

According to
http://www.pinkbatts.co.nz/pdf/3f67c4c33abdb.pdf
Noise Control Block has these Sound Absorption Coefficients:
(thickness 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000 NRC)
100mm 0.50 0.85 1.10 1.10 1.10 1.10 1.04
You can compare that to other Rockwool of 75mm and 100mm shown at
http://www.bobgolds.com/AbsorptionCoefficients.htm
Overall I'd say it's good enough.
