Suggestions for Control Room Acoustic Treatment

Post by attla78 »

Hi
i would ask some things about my new Control room.....Here's a link with
- sketch up project with some acoustic treatment suggested to me (first reflections, bass trap, resonator ecc)
- the last RTA measurement from the listening position (at 38% of the length 2,20m). The room have only couch, studio monitors, seat and desk inside....with IVIE 35 and IE-2P Microphone TYPE I

The real measurement are a little different from sketchup:
L: 5,80 m
W: 3.45 m at the listening position - 3.60 at the door
H: 2,17 m

Could you help me to understand the treatment i made? I think i have to build:
- 4 panels (abflector style) 2 each first reflections points on the side walls (i want to made it with 10cm thick, 2 panel of flat acoustic foam... (i have 50 of them remain from the old room)
- 4 of the same panels "as a cloud" on the ceiling first reflection points...Angled like abflector or no?
- Broadband Bass trap width 1,20m on the front angles with 10 cm rockwool (2 coupled 120x60 cm 70kg/m3 panels). In this way i have the max distance from the rear wall 45cm (pick of absorption near 190 Hz i think). Note that I have already beveled the corners of the walls with a plasterboard panel (25cm wide) and filled the rear space with rock wool
- Broadband Bass trap at the "door angle" of the rear wall and at the ceiling angle in the front wall. The same as above but only 60cm in width (25cm from the wall)
- Skyline diffuser at the rear wall ... i think from 800Hz to 4000 Hz .....How many? maybe 6 for a total surface of 1,8 x 1,20 m?
- eventually some other panel at the ceiling and walls
- Perforated panel resonators tuned at the modal frequencies 54, 98, 160 c.ca ....could i put them inside the bass trap in the angles?
- Slat resonator/s I have 2 cavities in the wall on the left of listening position....

All panels will be DIY
Here's a dropbox folder with the files

Thanks in advance for suggestions
