Hi, this is my first post in this forum so hello to everybody.
So, I´m planing about make a control room but in a future use it as a recording room also, but actually my first goal is to condition it for a good sounding control room. I attach the model 3d in sketchup:
cause is easy that give all the sizes because is a very strange room and attach some photos also.
My budget is small, so I´m looking for a DIY treatment.
And my main problem is the reverberation time is soooo long...
The first cuestion is where to put the speakers, and my first idea is here.
But i´ve thinking about this other two places
I´ve not start yet, so if anybody has a better idea please let me know.
If i keep on with the first idea I´ve think about put some absorber clouds over the listening point, and make the front wall the driest as I can(is a mistake or is a good idea?), and at the back, where is the column some diffusion maybe using the column or maybe covering it, I don´t know.
I´ve thinking about puting some more clouds on some points where I will records(drums for example)
And I think if it would be a good thing making some superchunky bass traps in the corners.
About the walls I think about making some absorbers(40kg/m2 density roockwool x 8 cm thick) and alternate with diffusers.
I attach also some REW measurements, to help to understand the problems of my room.

That´s all, if you need further information let me know.
Anyway, thanks in advanced and sorry for my english !!

Hi there "martineiro", and Welcome to the Forum!
Unfortunately, the hosting service for the forum screwed up when they moved us to a new server last week, and they somehow managed to lose all photos that were uploaded between the 15th and 21st of December... including yours! So if possible, please could you upload them again. Just edit your post and re-insert the photos in the correct place. That should fix it!
Sorry about the problem!!!

Re: Multipurpose control room
Your layout is OK; but the bug problem there is that the front wall is angled, so you don't have room symmetry. That's pretty important for good stereo imaging. You are also firing your speakers across the short axis of the room, rather than the acoustically better long axis, but that's not as big a deal as the lack of symmetry. You'd probably have to build out a wall to get the room back to rectangular, to make it usable as a studio. That Room would be fine just as it is for a live room, but not so much as a control room.
That's not to say that you can't use it, of course! If that's all you have, then it could be used, but it would be hard to treat it and hard to learn it so that you could produce successful mixes that translate well.
