Re: Mixdown room
Hi there "mike1902", and welcome to the forum!
With a room that shape, the only real option you have is to set up the desk facing the other way, towards the angled ceiling/wall with the window in it. You will need large bass traps in that room, and a lot of absorption on the rear wall.
You are not the first person to use a room like this! So it can be done.
Here are some links to threads where other people had similar shape rooms:
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... =3&t=17567
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... =1&t=17918
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... =2&t=17137
So start by reading through those threads, (especially the last one), then turn your room around to face the other way, and do a test with REW to see where your problems are. Then based on that we can help you decide on how to treat the room.

For a room like that, I would use superchunk style bass traps, not round ones. That room will need a LOT of bass trapping, and superchunks are the best way to do that. Now i am thinking i will put some round Basstraps in the corners i will make it by myself with foam but this is a future project.

Re: Mixdown room
Hello Stuart,
thanks for your welcome words.
Last week i was very busy sorting out my stuff and clean up and Paint.
I ordered a Mikrofon for the measurements so i have to wait until it is here.
In the Time Below i do some fun Measurments with a cards mic just to get in the Software.
Thanks for the Links I've reading a lot.
Now i Turned to the opposite wall with the angled surface. Thats was the Starting Point that i needed
SO wenn i get the Mic i will measure soon.
I thought wenn i was placing my big wardrobe behind the listening position maybe i can use it as an reflector with books. And inside/ behind the books i will put an Isolation in with Basotec or other damping materials. Maybee a good or a not so good solution? This week i will put some pictures on and new drawings from Sketchup what i wanna do or think i wanna do!
Thanks for all!
Greetings Mike.
Sorry for my worst English i hope u can understand me
And i Hope to get it better!
