Been meaning to do this for a long time; Thanks to LenMorgan for reminding me at the right time - First and foremost, from "Mr. encyclopedia himself,

More to come - if you have other useful links to acoustic materials, feel free to post. I'll clean up and reorganize from time to time. thanks... Steve

I'm not sure this is what I was after, but as you said, it's just a start. This reference is great for comparing materials (and the absorbtion coefficients thereof). In fact, I'm not sure that the phpBB software can do what I was thinking of.
I'll wait until I see what you come up with as time goes by. In the meantime, I might play with some sort of "thesaurus" app that I could put up on my website.

Great Website
I'm new here...
What a great place!
I did a search in the forum for this link and didn't find it so I thought I'd post it here. Hope this is the appropriate place.

Desc: This java applet demonstrates interference between two sources of sound waves. You need two speakers (or one speaker and a wall) and a sound card (preferably stereo). Measure or estimate the distance between your speakers and set the Speaker Separation slider accordingly...
http://www.falstad.com/mathphysics.html
Desc: This page has links to Java applets that demonstrate various physics models. Including: Loaded String (Simulation of wave motion of a string), Rectangular Membrane Waves (Vibrational modes in a 2-d membrane), Circular Membrane Waves (Vibrational modes in a 2-d circular membrane - drum head), Bar Waves (Bending waves in a bar), Box Modes (Acoustic standing waves in a 3-d box), and many more.
Hope someone finds them useful.

I finally discovered the name of this products while on a job site at Microsoft a couple weeks ago while doing an AV install of about 300 rooms. They were installing a track system that the fabric is secured to, and the insulation panels were attached to the walls.

This makes installing the fabric so much easier!
