Here is a revised drawing with the control room console flipped to the symmetrical wall. Interesting concept, i need a design for wall mounting the gennys, anyone have a good design? can i mount the powered gennys in the walls? thanks for your support.

I hate to leave threads like this just hanging in mid air, with the impression that the studio never got built!

I have had the pleasure of working with Rod off-line to complete the design of his studio, which is why there were no more updates on his thread... until now. He wanted to concentrate on the build...

It is now two and a half years later, and in reality, Rod's studio did get built. And not just "built" but rather "awesomely built!". Rod's craftsmanship and attention to detail are absolute top notch, second to none. I know that Rod really wants to concentrate on recording from now on, but if some forum member in his area ever needs a first rate contractor who now knows how to build studios right, give him a call. No matter what strange curve-ball design I threw at him for some parts of his rooms, he was up to building it, and building it gorgeously.

Rod's studio is currently going through the final stages of tuning / treatment in the live rooms, and they are turning out beautifully too. He's done a pretty amazing job of turning this around (literally and figuratively), and I'm hoping he'll post a few photos of the control room (which is now finished and operational), and of the other rooms, some of which are completed while the others are still in progress.

The reason for the update now is simply because I happened to find this old thread while I was searching the forum for something else, and I figured it's about time that the truth about his studio build should come to light!

Maybe it's a little early to say this, Rod, but congratulations on your excellent studio, and Merry Christmas!

Im sorry everyone, i have been so wrapped up following Stuarts direction, instruction and drawings that i failed to stay up to date with the build, i will get some pics up asap. you can go to our new website at www.studio3productions.com and see what Stuart created and i pains takingly built. He asked me on day one who was going to build it and i went pftssstt ME of course, I've been a general contractor for 30 years. Little did i know that all those years of skill would be called into question as we labored thru the build. At some points he asked me to create framing that needed compound angels on all 4 sides, and i had to do it with a skilsaw, and be within 2mm tolerance. i started off sending him general dimensions and quickly found out that i needed to send down to the 1/32. I want everyone here to know that Stuart is an amazing man of God and an amazing friend, mentor and design professional. He has labored along with me for over 2 years, please do everything you can to hire him for his services. it is so worth it as you will see on my website. This studio was built by Gods hands thru Stuarts heart and mind, Stuart was led by the spirit and the outcome is so accurate and perfect that it takes all his graphs to prove its validity. its not our work but HIS, Stuart is more than welcome to post some of the coolest REW data that is so impressive. He continues to assist me in every step and even reviews my mixes for control room accuracy. i cannot say enough about him and I've never had the privilege of meeting him or shaking his hand, someday i will.
