Need 3 lb density fiberglass/703 equivalent in Arizona

Find out where to get building materials in your local area. If you find a good outlet post it and others will be able to access it through the search engine.

Need 3 lb density fiberglass/703 equivalent in Arizona

Post by multron »

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for OC 703 or an almost equivalent (24" x 48" x 2" or 4") and am having a hard time finding any in the Phoenix area of Arizona. I ran into some old links about SPI, but they seem to be broken.

I do not need a link to Bob's coefficient sheet, =), and not wanting to order fiberboard online because shipping seems to be as much as the product itself.

I appreciate any help!!!!!!

Mike Loftus - Johns Manville brand which is pretty much the same as OC.

Hi, Multron.

I have a ton of 4" 703 in a nonstandard jumbo size: >36" x 48" OEM mis-cuts.
All are 48" long, but the widths vary from >36" to ~39"

You can cut all to 36", OR cut lengthwise to get you all 24" widths. 'Breadknife works great.
I get these from an industrial manufacturer that uses OC 703 in a custom size; any pieces that are off-measurement are set aside and sold-off after they've accumulated a few pallets worth.

Reply or send me PM if interested.

There is a warehouse on 1030 East University Drive Phoenix, AZ 85034-6512 that I believe carries 703. I know for a fact that they carry Roxul and Bonded Logic products. Very nice people and great prices.

Strange. They had no idea what I was talking about: "We're a wholesaler of janitorial and industrial food service products."

Was there someone in particular you worked with?

I ended up getting Roxul AFB at 84 Lumber in Chandler (480-814-8484). Perhaps not so cheap @ $47 per 2"x16" (85 sq ft).
