Hello, I wonder if there is any connection which can lead to noise/hum between different fuses in a standard 230VDC installation, or could I eliminate that scenario when installing audio equipment on different fuses than light for example?
Thank you!

Re: Question regarding different fuses and noise
Depending on the existing wiring and loads, there can be quite a bit of interference. Most modern building ground schemes are adequate, but you never know...
All serious installations spec an isolation transformer for all audio and processing power. This removes the clicks and pops from utilities and lights on the common circuits. This is big bucks though. Usually an economical solution would be a power conditioner that filters the noise...and of course, insuring a good ground.
All that said, my small studio at my house is just plugged into the wall and I deal with it. I just turn off the A/C and lights that I'm not using. My important sessions are conducted at power conditioned studios though.

Jim Brown, AES Committee Chair has an excellent paper on power and grounding.
This paper now has an International Wiring Version.

Good document. Just goes to show how complicated this process of building a video/sound related environment really can be. It is no wonder that so many get confused on what to do or where to do it and end up hacking their way through it.Speedskater wrote: See Jim Brown, Audio Systems Group:

It's too much for one brain!!!
Thanks again,
